Just an 11:30am trip today. We had yesterday off, but Capt. Kane told us it was very slow whale watching off Newport. So this morning we checked in with Dana Point, and Capt. Steve let us know of a humpback whale feeding with dolphins off their harbor. Thankfully, the seas were very calm and we were able to make good time on the 12 mile trip to Dana Point. When we arrived we got some great looks at a humpback whale; it was one that we recognized feeding off Newport Beach last week. Also about 200 common dolphin. On the way home we had a great coastal tour!
