Brief summary tonight, very tired! It was one of the best days so far this year. We saw some things today off Newport Beach that we have never seen before- multiple lunge feeding humpbacks. We had lots of whales and dolphins all day!
9:00am- 3 humpback whales, 1 minke whale, 500 dolphin. The humpback whales lunge fed multiple times
11:30am- 2 humpback whales, 500 dolphin
3:00pm- At least 6, possibly 8 humpback whales, 1,000 dolphin, off the hook whale watching!
5:30pm- 6 humpback whales, 500 dolphin- lunge feeds and a breach!
