Only one trip today, but we found everything we wanted! Our passengers today live on Newport Harbor, so we were able to pick them up right from the dock in front of their home. It wasn’t more than 3 minutes into our trip when we found a cow/calf pair of gray whales just off Corona del Mar. We followed them to the Balboa Pier and then set off to find dolphin. Heading south towards Laguna Beach, and with some diligent work in the binoculars, Capt. Ryan found a huge pod of feeding common dolphin 3 miles off. Easily 500 hundred animals. With a “mission accomplished” we headed back to the harbor!
