Today we had one trip with just two passengers, but they were in for a treat! Capt Ryan got wind of humpback whale activity off of Dana Point, and we raced 9 miles to where Captain Dave’s Dolphin Safari was already watching as many as five feeding humpbacks off south Laguna Beach. We got up close looks at three  of them, ranging from 35-45 feet long. Of course, there were dolphin feeding everywhere- the humpback and the dolphin work together to “organize” the food (anchovies) for feasting. Three  humpbacks on one trip… that’s really good for May, and great ANY time of year!
